About SG Flensburg-Handewitt:
SG Flensburg-Handewitt was formed in 1990 when the handball sections of the Handewitter SV and TSB Flensburg clubs merged. After only a year, the club joined the first league and never looked back. The greatest success in the club’s history was undoubtedly its victory in the EHF Champions League 2014 – the most prestigious handball championship for club teams. In the final round, they beat its formidable rival from the capital city of its own state: THW Kiel.
